Facebook, Other Platforms Asked to Curtail Online Hate Speech by Nigerian Government

Facebook, other social media platforms are being actively monitored in Nigeria to ensure they comply with demands to curtail hate speech on their sites, stated Information Minister Lai Mohammed said on Tuesday. The statement comes after Mohammed's meeting with Facebook's team in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.
